Thomas R. Lambert, DMD, FAGD, MAGD, LLSR

Dr. Lambert has spent his career earning the kind of credentials most dentists never reach. After graduating top of his class at Temple University School of Dentistry, he completed a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital where he has been on the attending medical staff since 1987, now 39 years, helping train the next generation of general practice residents.

His commitment to continuing education goes well beyond the required minimums. With over 3,500 hours of advanced training in areas such as diagnosis, dental implants, radiology, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, root canal, surgery, and emergency care, Dr. Lambert earned both Fellowship and Mastership designations from the Academy of General Dentistry. Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry takes more than 1,100 hours of continuing education, 400 of them in hands-on courses. Fewer than 2% of general dentists in the United States and Canada hold it. He has also received the AGD's LLSR award recognizing lifelong learning and community service, an award earned by only 500 dentists nationwide.

For 10 years, Dr. Lambert taught at Northampton Community College's Department of Dental Hygiene and was named Dental Department Teacher of the Year at Lehigh Valley Hospital in 2007. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He has been a Bethlehem resident his entire life. That's not a marketing line; It means the community he serves is the same one he lives in, plays music in, and has invested in for decades.

Dr. Thomas Lambert is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, having grown up in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley area. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in biochemistry, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry and graduated top of his class, then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he has been on the attending medical staff since 1987, now 39 years.

He spent ten years teaching at Northampton Community College Department of Dental Hygiene, and was awarded the Dental Department Teacher of the Year Award in 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Department of Dental Medicine, where he has continued to volunteer his time every month for 40 years. He uses his extensive experience to help train general practice residents receiving advanced training in all phases of general dentistry.

"I always wanted to be a dentist, as it was the perfect match for my skills and interests with helping people and improving their lives. Opening my own practice has allowed me to provide the highest level of dental care that I was trained to perform for all my patients, rather than work in corporate dentistry or managed care, where either the patient or I would be forced to make compromises in dental care."

Temple University School of Dentistry student honor societies: Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, Crown and Bridge.
