If you are living without teeth, the team at Always About Smiles can help. Our team is dedicated to helping our patients achieve the best smiles possible.
We offer a variety of natural-looking dentures that will allow you to function and smile with pride once again. We will be happy to help you find a denture option that is right for you. Our options include:
These dentures are the type you may think of when someone says “dentures.” They are replacement teeth set into a gum-colored mold that sits directly over your gums. They are retained generally by a custom-crafted fit but may occasionally need denture adhesive if you have lost jawbone support from long term loss of teeth. They can and should be removed for regular dental cleaning and maintenance. Full removable dentures are used to replace an entire arch or an entire mouthful of teeth. We craft our removable dentures to be as comfortable as possible — they are designed to fit as snugly as possible so they do not move around in your mouth. We want you to look AND feel your best!
Sometimes, only a partial denture is needed. We offer these, too. These are made much like full dentures, except that they replace only some of your teeth. These partial dentures are secured into the mouth using clasps that gently hug the neighboring teeth, but they are also removable for regular cleaning and maintenance.
For some people, removable dentures are not the best solution. If you want a higher level of stability and strength, implant-secured dentures might be the best option for you. These dentures are held in place with dental implants — prosthetic replacement tooth roots that are inserted directly into your gums and allowed to fuse with your jawbone. This permanent foundation can allow you to eat whatever you want. While removable dentures offer a great level of functionality on their own, implant-secured dentures can replace almost 100 percent of your natural chewing power. We offer both implant-retained and implant-supported dentures.
The implant-retained dentures are secured using implants and clip-on attachments, while the implant-supported dentures use a bar attachment. Talk to Dr. Lambert about which implant-secured option is right for you. We will be happy to help you decide! Want to make sure you look great while your permanent dentures are being crafted? We offer temporary dentures that will allow you to eat and smile without embarrassment until your permanent dentures are made. Ask our dentist about this option when you schedule your denture consultation.
