If you are currently living without teeth or with a tooth replacement option that isn’t meeting your needs, we have a solution that can help. Thomas R. Lambert DMD offers comprehensive dental implant services — that means we can restore dental implants right here in our Bethlehem, PA.
If you are considering choosing this strong, reliable, and beautiful solution, please take note of our many options:
Traditional single implants are designed to replace one single tooth. We surgically place a titanium prosthetic tooth root into your gum. During the healing process, the implant fuses to the jawbone to create a strong foundation for your replacement tooth. We will craft a restoration that blends naturally with your bite and appearance. We aim to create a replacement tooth that looks natural in your mouth. Dental implants are designed to replace nearly 100 percent of your natural chewing power. In addition to their beauty and strength, they are also long-lasting. Implants, when properly maintained, will last for decades — possibly even for the rest of your life! They are easy to clean and will help to discourage gum disease and jawbone deterioration. Traditional single implants are just one of many implant options we offer here at Thomas R. Lambert DMD.
Mini dental implants work similarly to traditional implants, except that they are smaller in diameter. Because of their size, they are considered easier and less invasive to place. They are also more cost-efficient. Because of these perks, mini implants are more accessible to a wider variety of patients. Even if you have experienced some jawbone deterioration, you may still be a good candidate for mini dental implants. Do keep in mind that mini dental implants are not quite as strong as traditional dental implants. This means that they may not be preferable in every situation. Talk to Dr. Lambert about which dental implant option is right for you.
All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants are designed to replace a full arch of non-removable teeth using just four or six implants for support. Depending on your needs, we will strategically place the required number of implants to adequately secure a full-arch restoration. This is the least invasive way to replace an entire arch or an entire mouthful of teeth with implants.
Implant-retained dentures are full-arch removable prosthetics that are secured into the mouth using dental implants and tight-fitting snap-on clips. These implant-secured dentures are simply stronger than removable dentures. You will be able to eat whatever you want without the worry of your teeth moving around or popping out. If you are living with conventional removable dentures that just aren’t working for you, this may be a better solution.
Implant-supported dentures work similarly to implant-retained dentures except that they are anchored into the mouth using a bar attachment instead of snap-on clips. Both options are great alternatives to removable dentures. Talk to Dr. Lambert to determine which implant-secured denture option is right for you.
In some cases the immediate placement of implants may be a possibility depending on the extent of surgery and any infection, and also the type and amount of remaining jawbone at the extraction site. Please contact our team to see if this is an option for you.
