Meet Dr. Thomas Lambert
Dr. Thomas Lambert is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, having grown up in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley area. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in biochemistry, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry where he graduated top of his class, and from there he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he has been on attending medical staff for 29 years. He then went on to be an associate dentist in Easton. He served as an associate dentist for one year before returning to his hometown and opening up his current Bethlehem dental office.
“I always wanted to be a dentist, as it was the perfect match for my skills and interests with helping people and improving their lives. Opening my own practice has allowed me to provide the highest level of dental care that I was trained to perform for all my patients, rather than work in corporate dentistry or managed care, where either the patient or I would be forced to make compromises in dental care.”
Dr. Lambert is focused on solving dental problems, relieving pain, and helping patients smile. Through his commitment to patients and hard work, he received numerous school honors, including membership in several honors societies (Oral Surgery Honor Society, Endodontic Honor Society, Periodontal Honor Society, and Crown and Bridge Honor Society) as well as prestigious awards such as the Alpha Omega Award for Highest Scholastic Standing, the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators Award, and the Academy of General Dentistry Outstanding Senior Student Award.
Knowing that the field of dentistry is always changing and evolving, Dr. Lambert has continued his education so that he is able to study and learn the most advanced techniques and treatments. He has taken more than 2,800 hours of training in areas such as cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, dental implants, surgery, and emergency care. In fact, Dr. Lambert is part of an elite group of Pennsylvania dentists participating in PEAK, a continuing education program offered by the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. Many years of advanced study led to a Fellowship award and ultimately to Mastership, the Academy of General Dentistry’s highest honor.
Dr. Lambert spent ten years teaching at Northampton Community College Department of Dental Hygiene. He was awarded the Dental Department Teacher of the Year Award in 2007 for his efforts at Lehigh Valley Hospital Department of Dental Medicine, where he is volunteering his time. He uses his extensive experience to help train general practice residents who are receiving advanced training in general dentistry.
When not in the office, Dr. Lambert spends time with his wife, Brenda and his two daughters. He is also a musician, playing the tenor sax and clarinet with the Easton Municipal Band, the Lehigh Valley Italian-American Band, and the American Legion Band of Bethlehem. He even plays with the alumni Blue Band at Penn State at Homecoming and other events.
